Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pay for classes?

Currently, we are accepting vouchers from Visions in Education, Heritage, and Compass. We are working to become vendored with Valley View and Vista Oaks before the fall. We also accept personal checks, cash, Paypal, Venmo, and Zelle.

How do I register for classes?

To register for classes, go to the "register" tab and choose your subject from the list. Once on the subject page, make sure you select the correct class, grade, and location. If the class is full, you will be placed on a waitlist.

What is the max size for your classes?

With the current Covid situation, there will be a 10 student max for all Language Arts classes. All other classes will have a 6 student max.

When are payments due?

Monthly payments are due prior to the first day of class each month.

How much homework will my student receive?

Students in grades 3rd-8th should be able to complete all their weekly homework by working 45-60mins every day. For high school students, the daily time spent on Language Arts should be 60-90mins every day. **Early Literacy, CA History, Art Enrichment, and Space/Continents students will not be given homework since these classes are considered enrichment.**

I am currently waitlisted, how will I know if my student gets into the class?

All waitlists will be monitored, and when a spot becomes available, you will be contacted by email.

What if my child is sick or we go on vacation?

It is your responsibility to contact the instructor within 24hrs of the class. If it's after the 24hr window, you will be charged for the class. I will send a homework email to all students, so they know their homework assignments for the week.

Where are classes taught?

Classes are normally taught at two locations, Benicia (home address) and Pleasant Hill (business address). We also offer a completely online Language Arts class. **At this time, no classes will be taught in-person until Spring 2021.
